Imagine boule crossed with croquet and you’re nearly there. This portable game is a great way to get the kids out and about in the Winter. It requires skill, dexterity and cunning. Something we found our 10-year-olds had in abundance.

Flower-making Kit
All our Makedo kits are fun but this one was particularly popular during testing. The kit has everything you need to create your own potted flower using items usually thrown away like empty yoghurt pots, plastic bottles and loo rolls. The kit provides a range of clever tools including a safe-saw, hinges, pins, clips and colourful stickers.

Go-green Board Game
Self-sufficiency can be hard work but this new green living board game made it a lot of fun as we grew our crops, fattened up our livestock and went to market to sell the fruits of our labour. We all enjoyed it as we added new allotments and built up our hay stacks. Guaranteed to keep the family occupied over the Christmas holiday and beyond.

Plus, once they’ve tested out potatoes they can experiment to find out what other substances will power the clock.

Gold Mining Science Kit
Eden was built in the site of an old mine so we were keen to test out the gold mining kit. It requires some patience but after some time digging for gold in the table-top mine we found some treasure in the form of small nuggets of pyrite. Our mini gold-diggers loved this!
