Christmas craft activities
Join us for a season of free craft activities, known as The Hive. Learn to make Christmas decorations, delicious gingerbread, origami gifts, Christmas stockings and more.
When and where:
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 26 November – 18 December 2011, in the Mechanical Theatre (in the centre of our gardens). Gingerbread making takes place in our Bakery.

Cost: All activities, apart from gingerbread making,
are included within admission to Eden.
Gingerbread making
Friday and Saturdays 2pm and 6pm; Sundays 2pm and 3pm; sign up at the Bakery tills, £1 per person.
Come join our bakers in rolling, cutting and baking your own festive gingerbread shapes.
Origami Christmas decorations and gift boxes
Fridays and Saturdays 11–8pm, Sundays 11–6pm
Learn how to make origami festive shapes, hanging cranes and gift boxes – great homemade gift ideas.
Sew zone
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Meet Sue, our resident seamstress, who can show you how to make your own Christmas stockings out of old scraps of material, how to quilt, and much more.
Grow zone
Fridays and Saturdays
Dave, our storytelling garden expert, will be showing you how to make fabulous cress-planted presents and sharing some seasonal children's stories.

Each weekend we will be joined by a fantastic local art-or-crafter to share their skills and let you have a go!

Eden's own Benedict Cantatore teaches you the art of building an outdoor bread oven.
Fridays and Sundays - Jive demonstration
Pamela Mountford of Newquay Jive shows us some simple dance steps.
Saturday 10 December – Sunday 11 December - Felt workshop
Work with Lou Tonkin to create a lovely woolly present to take home.
