BBC's Live ‘n’ Deadly show broadcast live from the Eden Project

Millions of viewers tuned in to see the CBBC programme Live 'n’ Deadly broadcast live from the Eden Project this morning (Saturday November 13).

Presenters Steve Backshall and Naomi Wilkinson and a host of potentially deadly creatures were filmed at the site for the last show in the series which went out at 9am-10am on BBC 2.

It featured a bat-eating centipede, a Rainbow boa, a Brazilan aardvark known as a coati and a hissing camel spider.

Steve, who also presents the BBC wildlife series Deadly 60, opened the show by abseiling from the 50-metre-high Rainforest Lookout while Naomi took a ride through the jungle treetops on the Rainforest Balloon.  

Making up the show’s live audience in front of the famous Biomes were children from Eden's neighbouring schools Biscovey Junior and Carclaze Community Primary.

Steve said: “The Eden Project is one of the most spectacular modern marvels in the world.”

Live 'n' Deadly introduces children to dangerous and wild creatures, from birds of prey, to snakes, spiders, and other predators.
