MEDIA CALL: Hundreds of businesses to attend Eden conference on cutting carbon: October 11

What:

Nearly 250 representatives from businesses in Cornwall and Devon will find out how carbon reduction targets are going to impact on their operations at a free conference at the Eden Project.

‘Carbon Matters – It’s no longer business as usual’ will highlight the key issues driving the change towards a low carbon economy and inform people about the business opportunities available to those who act early.

Speakers include Shaun McCarthy, Chair of the Commission for a Sustainable London, Mike Berners-Lee, author of ‘How Bad Are Bananas? The carbon footprint of everything’, David Wathey, Head of Sustainable Procurement at the Department of Health, and Gaynor Coley, Managing Director of the Eden Project.

Conference delegates include senior managers and directors from a broad range of businesses and organisations in Cornwall and Devon.

The event is funded by the European Social Fund Convergence programme.
