Exclusive Shaun the Sheep game is launched for The Big Lunch 2010
Monday 21st June 2010: - The Big Lunch is proud to announce the arrival of its newest and woolliest lunch guest, Shaun the Sheep.
Shaun the Sheep and his creators at Aardman have come together with The Big Lunch to create an online game exclusively for this year’s Big Lunch called Shaun’s Big Lunch – visit www.thebiglunch.com/shauns-big-lunch for your place at the table. Like Shaun and his friends in the game, The Big Lunch hopes the game will encourage more people to sit down for lunch together on 18th July in a simple act of community and friendship.
In the game it’s a race against time for the players to plate up food for Shaun and his friends. But you can’t pull the wool over their eyes, you need to make sure the food on the plates all matches up. Plus you’d better keep an eye out for the mischievous and hungry pigs!
By playing the game, participants are also entered into a prize draw to win a relaxing weekend break away in Cornwall and tickets to The Eden Project.
Karen Heldoorn, Head of Aardman Digital, said; “The Big Lunch is a fantastic event which encourages community building across the country and we are really pleased that Shaun the Sheep and his friends are getting behind the initiative and promoting this year’s event. We have designed a fun and simple game to emphasise The Big Lunch’s values of getting together and sharing. We hope that people enjoy playing it and will go on to organise their own Big Lunch activity.”

The Big Lunch 2010 is just over three weeks away, so now is the time for those lunchers opting for a BBQ in the back garden or a picnic in park to start gathering neighbours together to plan for the biggest Big Lunch yet.
The Big Lunch is led by the Eden Project with the support of a family of partners - The Big Lottery Fund, MasterCard, EDF Energy and Communities and Local Government.
